Topics of the conference

The issue of trust in Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems is becoming increasingly important today because:

• AI systems are becoming more widely available, and this makes them used by many people who have little understanding of how they work,
• these systems are extremely complex, which makes it difficult to assess their reliability,
• their decisions are the result of a complex and often opaque learning process,
• these decisions involve areas that affect human security (e.g., health, financial, or military).

Analysis of the issue of trust in artificial intelligence systems requires, among other things:

• identifying factors that influence (positively and negatively) people's trust in information systems (both in general and in specific areas)
• identifying users’ expectations of AI systems,
• determining which types of AI systems and what elements of those systems affect users trust the most,
• examining the relationship between users trust in IS systems and the ability of these systems to explain decisions, 
• reflection on legal regulations that promote trust in AI systems,
• considering ethical issues including: moral issues that may arise in connection with decisions made by AI systems.
