The functioning of public administration in the contemporary world is expressed in the constant need to search for new, better solutions to fundamental social and economic problems resulting from living in a community. These searches relate both to the attempt to find new organizational forms that allow for more effective implementation of public tasks. They also concern the optimization of management methods in public administration, which, being in an unusual situation, is obliged to meet social needs and expectations in a manner designed by politicians.

It is also impossible to ignore the search for the most effective methods and legal forms of administration, adequately to the purpose and specificity of the tasks carried out.

All presented issues are currently happening in the conditions of an epidemic that has been going on for two years, which makes it necessary to intensify almost all energy in the field of public health safety, while generating a whole package of new tasks and obligations concerning particular fields of public administration. This situation has been further complicated by the recent aggression of Russia in Ukraine, which has created a threat for European countries that has not been seen for nearly 80 years. The subject of the conference is a debate on research conducted by eminent specialists on contemporary problems of public administration in various European countries.

Various perspectives and positions from different countries of the European Union will be presented, where the public administration, despite the differences constitutes a fairly comparable organizational and task structure. We hope that the presentations of conducted scientific research will become an inspiration for farther in-depth research and will contribute to the search for better solutions in the legal systems of individual countries, represented at the conference.
